I've contacted the person for whom I'm knitting. Nice exchange and funny since we just got back from England ourselves (spring break). Now it's down to the yarn. I've been hunting and hunting, but so far, I'm stumped. I've been shopping online to date, but I think I'm going to have to break down and go to the LYS...shudder. Could be trouble.
I haven't yet heard from my upstream knitting buddy.

Hello
I've been knitting for just under a year now. I learned, finally, in recovery from chemotherapy...lots and lots of time on the couch. After that, I decided that to justify yarn purchases, I would knit all of the holiday gifts last year. Wheee. I've learned a lot. Currently, I'm working on an entrelac lapgan for my kids to use in the car and a pair of Weasly Sweaters with intarsia initials on the front.
